Title:  Lincoln and the Railroads by John W. Starr Jr

Summary: Lincoln and the A Biographical Study is a book written by John W. Starr, Jr. that explores the relationship between Abraham Lincoln and the railroad industry during his presidency. The book delves into Lincoln's personal experiences with railroads, including his early work as a lawyer representing railroad companies and his travels on the rails during his political campaigns. It also examines the ways in which Lincoln's policies and actions impacted the growth and development of the railroad industry, particularly during the Civil War. Through extensive research and analysis, Starr provides a detailed and insightful look at the complex and often controversial relationship between Lincoln and the railroads, shedding new light on both the man and the industry that played such a crucial role in American history.
