VINTAGESTAN BOOKS
Title: Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture. Old Testament VII. Psalms 1 to 50
Summary: This volume gathers patristic commentary on Psalms 1–50, drawing from early Christian writers (roughly 2nd–8th centuries) to show how the Church Fathers read the Psalms christologically, ecclesially, and spiritually.
The ACCS series aims to recover the early Church’s exegetical tradition, presenting short, thematically arranged excerpts rather than modern critical analysis. Scripture is interpreted primarily through the lenses of Christ, the Church, the moral life, and prayer. Historical context matters, but spiritual and typological meaning is central.
