Title:  Pilgrims Progress Boston 1945 to 1975 by Alan Champion

Summary: Pilgrim’s Progress: Boston, 1945–1975 by Alan Champion is not a retelling of John Bunyan's famous allegory. It is a short historical study (published in 1976) of Pilgrim College in Boston, Lincolnshire, and its role in adult education during the thirty years following the Second World War. Champion presents Pilgrim College as a successful example of the post-war adult education movement in England. The book serves both as a history of the institution and as a record of how adult education helped broaden opportunities and enrich community life in Lincolnshire during the mid-twentieth century.
