Title: Precious Light by David Mach. King James Bible. A Celebration 1611 - 2011

Summary: Precious Light is an illustrated art book celebrating the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. It presents Mach’s imaginative interpretations of biblical stories through dramatic collages, sculptures and passages from the Bible. The project took more than ten years to develop and was exhibited at Edinburgh’s City Art Centre in 2011. Precious Light demonstrates that the Bible is not only a religious text but also a continuing source of artistic inspiration, moral reflection and cultural identity. Through striking contemporary imagery, David Mach encourages readers to rediscover the Bible's stories, confront their difficult themes and reflect on their enduring significance.
