Title: Ships of the P and O by Captain A.G. Course

Summary: Ships of the P & O is a short-illustrated history by Captain A. G. Course, first published in 1954 as part of the Ship Series. The book traces the development of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company fleet from its origins in the early 19th century through the mid-20th century. Ships of the P & O provides an accessible introduction to the history of P&O's famous fleet and offers a snapshot of British maritime heritage during the age of steam and ocean liners. It is particularly valuable for readers interested in merchant shipping, passenger liners, and the development of global sea routes.
