Title: Tudor Political Culture. Edited by Dale Hoak

Summary: Tudor Political Culture is a collection of 12 interdisciplinary essays exploring the ideas, symbols, rituals, and mental frameworks that underpinned political life in Tudor and early Stuart England. Rather than focusing solely on laws or events, the book delves into the cultural expressions and meanings that shaped how politics was understood and practiced in this period.

The volume’s core purpose is to show that political culture the shared ideas, images, rituals, and practices is essential for understanding how authority and power worked in the Tudor state. It goes beyond traditional political history to examine how people at different levels of society conceived political life and power
