Title: War in the Early Modern World 1450 to 1815

Summary: The period from 1450 to 1815 saw dramatic changes in the nature of warfare, driven by technological innovation, state formation, global expansion, and political revolutions. It marks the transition from medieval warfare to modern, industrial-era military systems. Between 1450 and 1815, warfare shifted from small-scale feudal conflicts to large, organized, state-driven wars with global impact. By 1815, the foundations of modern military organization, national armies, and global geopolitical rivalry were firmly in place.
